The Cedar International School Development Office
| Fund raising for capital projects is undertaken directly by the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees.
The Development Committee works with Jaeda Wooldridge, the Development
Director who is responsible for developing, managing and promoting a
comprehensive fund-raising and communications program including
alumni/ae programs. The Development office works throughout the year
on the following campaigns: The Art Show and Auction: This is the school's largest fund raiser where student and adult art, exciting holiday travel packages and unique services are put up for auction. In addition to the thrill of the auction, the evening is filled with musical and magical entertainment, fine dining and dancing shared in the company of good friends in support of Cedar International School. Proceeds benefit specific school needs. The school welcomes donations available for auction or trade, as we sometimes trade packages with off-island schools. This event takes place in the spring every year. The Cedar International School Annual Fund: Each year, the Annual Fund becomes more important. It provides a gift giving opportunity to help support the school in unrestricted areas. We are grateful for each and every donation which will bring us closer to our goals. The Cedar International School Charitable Trust Fund: Dedicated to the long-term support of educational opportunities for the children of our community, this permanent fund will be used to provide financial assistance to children residing in the British Virgin Islands who could not otherwise afford the cost of private schooling. The Professional Development Fund: Professional development provides new opportunities for teacher's to advance their skills through workshops, conferences, and training through professional associations and educational organizations and training in the use of new technology. Tax Benefits for U.S. Taxpayers: Cedar School is a recipient of funding by the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) in St. Thomas. This permits U.S. taxpayers to make tax-deductible donations to CFVI which are specifically designated for Cedar International School. For further information on how to make a donation to Cedar or through the CFVI, please contact Jaeda Wooldridge, Director of Development at 284-494-9312. Alumni information is currently being organized to create an alumni database. If you attended Cedar School, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please email cedardevelopment@surfbvi.com. |
