CO-CURRICULAR CLUBS
Co-curricular Clubs Programme Philosophy
One of the most significant goals of the International Baccalaureate's
PYP, MYP and Diploma Programmes is to provide for the balanced development
of “the whole person”. In accordance with this philosophy, life at Cedar
International School extends beyond the classroom through our
comprehensive Co-Curricular Clubs and Activities programme.
Our programme enables Cedar students to develop physically, emotionally,
culturally and socially by providing them with opportunities to broaden
their horizons, gain knowledge and skills, and generate an interest in a
variety of areas they may not have previously experienced. It also
provides a refreshing counterbalance to the demands of the students’
academic studies and encourages students to share their energy and special
talents with others.
The extensive programme of clubs and activities available at our school
continues to set Cedar International School apart from other schools in
the region. The programme itself, however, would not be possible without
dedicated teachers, parents and friends within the greater Cedar community
giving up their time and energy for the school. Again, it is this attitude
and commitment that makes Cedar International School unique.
The dynamic nature of the programme means that it is continually evolving
and diversifying. We always welcome any member of the extended Cedar
family to volunteer or to suggest new ways of further strengthening the
programme. Please do not hesitate to contact Clubs and Activities
Coordinator, Adam Cole, if you have any special ideas or talents that you
believe can assist the programme.
