CEDAR STUDENTS
Students are the pulse of Cedar International School.
Ranging in age from 4 to 18 and representing 40 nationalities, our students
make Cedar a diverse place, a vibrant place, a place that is ripe for
learning and growth.
Students at Cedar International School engage in a challenging IB curriculum
that spans every level of learning: the Primary Years Programme in
Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grades 1-5; the Middle Years Programme in
grades 6-10, and the IB Diploma Programme in grades 11 and 12. When they
leave Cedar, they are well prepared for success at the university level.
Cedar
students also enjoy a rich extracurricular life. With a thriving afterschool
clubs programme, students engage in such diverse activities as football,
paddle boarding, gymnastics, judo, birding, drama, cooking, and much, much
more. Athletically, our youth football teams excel, and we have just added a
youth basketball team, with more sports being added each year. Finally, our
location in the Caribbean leads to near limitless options for watersports.
Indeed, our student body contains expert sailors, surfers, standup paddle
boarders, scuba divers, and kite boarders.
Finally, our students are known for their character. With a strong community
service programme, a life skills programme, and opportunities for leadership
embedded in the curriculum, our students promote a climate of respect that
makes the school a safe place to be that is conducive to learning and models
the traits of the IB Learner Profile: caring, open-minded, and principled.
